A Storm Surge Warning has been issued for Baldwin Central, including Daphne, Fairhope, and Foley, effective immediately, October 9, 2026, at 1:02 PM CDT, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile, AL. This warning is set to expire at 9:15 PM UTC today.

Residents in surge-prone areas must shelter against life-threatening storm surge of greater than 3 feet above ground. Flood preparations and ordered evacuations should be complete, with evacuees in shelters well away from potential storm surge flooding. Do not venture outside.

Peak storm surge inundation of 2-4 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning. Winds are forecast at 25-35 mph with gusts up to 70 mph, posing a significant threat for dangerous wind. Plan for dangerous wind of equivalent strong tropical storm force; complete efforts to protect life and property now. Move to safe shelter before hazardous winds arrive.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 3-6 inches of rain expected, leading to potential major flooding. Heed all flood watches and warnings. The NWS also indicates a potential for a few tornadoes. If a tornado warning is issued, shelter quickly.
