At 1254 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Tuppers Plains, or near Coolville, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Coolville, Forked Run State Park, Tuppers Plains, Lubeck, Mineralwells, Washington, Chester, Darwin, Belleville, and Reedsville.

This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 151 and 161, and between mile markers 163 and 171.

**What You Should Do:**

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
