Strong winds are expected to increase across the Aleutians East Saturday afternoon around 1 PM AKDT before diminishing Sunday morning. The strongest winds are expected from late Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning.

Sand Point: Winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Cold Bay: Winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up 60 mph.

King Cove: Winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

False Pass: Winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

For Cold Bay, King Cove and False Pass there is a low chance (20-30%) for isolated gusts around 70 mph possible.

Strong wind gusts may make travel difficult, and could blow around unsecured outdoor objects.
