SK Group and NVIDIA Expand AI Partnership, Including Memory and Data Centers

SK Group and NVIDIA have expanded their strategic partnership in artificial intelligence, according to a recent announcement. The collaboration encompasses two main areas: SK Telecom's AI Factory project and SK hynix's long-term supply of AI memory.

SK Telecom, a division of SK Group, plans to develop an "AI Factory." This initiative involves the construction and operation of data centers designed for AI processing. The company anticipates these facilities will utilize up to 2 gigawatts of power.

Separately, SK hynix, another SK Group entity, will serve as a long-term partner for NVIDIA in the supply of memory optimized for AI applications. This aspect of the partnership focuses on providing essential hardware components for NVIDIA's AI systems.

The combined value of this NVIDIA-SK AI initiative exceeds $500 billion.
