Shooting at San Diego Islamic Center Leaves Three Dead

San Diego, CA – Three people died in a shooting at an Islamic center, police officials said. The victims included an on-site security guard and two other adult males.

Authorities located two teenage suspects, ages 17 and 19, also dead at the scene. Police reports indicate that both suspects died from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement officials stated they are treating the shooting as a hate crime as the investigation proceeds. The possibility of other motives remains open as detectives gather evidence and interview witnesses.

The San Diego Police Department is leading the investigation. They have not released the names of the victims or the suspects pending notification of next of kin.
