Clay County Sex Offender Registration Requirements

Staff Writer
May 21, 2026
Clay County Sheriff's Office: Sex Offenders Must Register Within 48 Hours

The Clay County Sheriff's Office requires convicted sexual offenders, sexual predators, and career offenders to register within 48 hours of entering the county, in compliance with Florida State Statutes.

The Special Victims Section of the Detective Division processes registrations and enters offender information into a database. The office then directs registrants to the Clay County Detention Facility for fingerprinting.

Residents can search for registered sexual offenders and predators in their area through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement website. For non-emergency questions, call the Sheriff's Office at (904) 264-6512 or #CCSO (2276). The office is located at 901 North Orange Ave. in Green Cove Springs.
