**Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued September 18 at 1:45PM MDT until September 18 at 2:00PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT**

At 145 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Layton, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Ogden, Layton, Farmington, Hill Air Force Base, Roy, Clearfield, Kaysville, Syracuse, Clinton, South Ogden, Centerville, Washington Terrace, Riverdale, South Weber, Uintah, Weber State University, West Point, Sunset, Fruit Heights, and Mountain Green.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 322 and 339. Interstate 84 between mile markers 82 and 97.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
