Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Delaware & Ottawa Counties until 4:30 PM

Residents in northwestern Delaware County and southern Ottawa County, Oklahoma, are advised to take immediate shelter due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Tulsa. This warning is in effect until 4:30 PM CDT today, September 20.

At 3:41 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bernice, moving northeast at 25 mph. The primary hazards associated with this storm include 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail. Impacts are expected to include damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations in the path of this storm include Grove, Fairland, Afton, Bernice, Wyandotte, Cleora, Honey Creek State Park, Bernice State Park, Ottawa, Zena, and Twin Bridges State Park. This warning also covers Interstate 44 between mile markers 295 and 308, and between mile markers 311 and 312.
