Trailing 2-1 early, the No. 13-seeded Sallies erupted for five runs on five hits, sending eight batters to the plate in a decisive outburst that turned the tide. Reliever James Lai sealed the win, buckling down after a shaky start to strike out two of the final three batters in a prior semifinal clincher, showcasing the pitching depth that carried Salesianum through the playoffs.
