Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv Kills 17, Damages Warehouse

Kyiv, Ukraine — A Russian missile attack on Ukraine's capital overnight Wednesday, August 5, 2026, killed 17 people. Officials reported that Ukrainian air defense systems did not intercept any of the incoming missiles.

The strike impacted a warehouse in Kyiv. Firefighters responded to the scene to extinguish a fire caused by the attack.
