Ripley Captures WWE Women's Title at WrestleMania 42

Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to become the new WWE Women's Champion at WrestleMania 42 Night 2 in Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas. The victory, Ripley's fourth world title, occurred in the event's penultimate match.

Early in the match, Cargill targeted Ripley's back with moves including scoop slams and a toss to the barricade. Cargill executed a Blue Thunder Bomb and applied a Crossface. Ripley countered these maneuvers, delivering a kick to Cargill.

Ripley utilized kicks throughout the bout, landing one after a striking exchange and following with an Electric Chair face drop. Ripley attempted a Riptide, but Cargill countered with a Spinebuster. Ripley then countered Cargill's Jaded attempt with a roll-up pin, followed by a Shining Wizard kick. She then attempted a Razor's Edge, which was interrupted by ringside interference from B-Fab and Michin. Cargill then delivered a One-Winged Angel.

Iyo Sky's arrival distracted Cargill, neutralizing the ringside interference. This distraction nearly allowed Ripley to land another Riptide. Ripley and Cargill then exchanged finisher attempts before Ripley successfully delivered a second Riptide to secure the pinfall and the championship.
