Republican Convention Continues in Dallas, Trump and Vance Scheduled to Speak

DALLAS – The Republican Party's midterm convention continued its proceedings in Dallas on Saturday, with former President Donald Trump and Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance scheduled to address attendees.

The event, which organizers described as a gathering for midterm strategy, also featured an appearance by Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, who spoke early Saturday.

Outside the convention hall, police arrested two individuals following an altercation at an entrance point. Law enforcement officials stated the arrests occurred during a protest organized by socialist groups demonstrating against the convention and former President Trump.

Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke participated in a separate rally held in Dallas concurrent with the Republican convention.
