Bay Oaks Rec Center Closes for Electrical Repairs

Fort Myers Beach closed Bay Oaks Recreational Center on May 15 after groundwater seeped into electrical conduits and damaged the breaker systems, creating a safety hazard.

Town staff hired a licensed electrical contractor to assess the damage and complete repairs. The center will reopen once inspectors deem it safe for occupancy. The town will provide updates as work progresses.
