BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Arkansas Razorbacks baseball punched their ticket to SEC Western Division supremacy for the ninth time in program history, defeating Texas A&M 6-3 at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The No. 3-ranked Hogs improved to 43-11 overall and 20-9 in SEC play, while dropping the No. 5 Aggies to 43-11 and 18-11. Reliever Mason Molina locked down the final innings, retiring Texas A&M in order in the eighth and ninth to earn the clinching victory.[1]
The win marked Arkansas' fifth division title in six seasons and the seventh under head coach Dave Van Horn, who previously guided the Razorbacks to crowns in 2004, 2007, 2011, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023.[1][2] Entering the finale weekend with a two-game lead, the Razorbacks protected their spot against a chasing Aggies squad, concluding the 2024 regular season atop the SEC West standings.[2] Back in Fayetteville, Baum-Walker Stadium faithful celebrated the milestone, setting the stage for SEC Tournament action.
Players like outfielder Cam Wood and pitcher Hagen White reflected on the triumph postgame, highlighting team resilience in a season of highs.[3] Arkansas' road warrior mentality shone in hostile territory, mirroring the program's legacy of SEC dominance from its Northwest Arkansas base. With the regular season done, the Hogs turn focus to postseason pursuits, carrying momentum from their latest divisional conquest.
