The season, which runs from June 1st through November 30th, typically sees its peak activity around September 10th. However, this year has presented an unusual lull.

The current lack of activity means no tropical systems pose a risk to our area. This quiet period is a welcome relief for local families and businesses, allowing them to focus on daily life without the usual late-season hurricane anxieties.
