Quest Rebrands Blossom Artisanal as House 81

Quest rebranded its social venture House 81, formerly Blossom Artisanal, to spotlight employment for people with developmental disabilities. The name references the 81% unemployment rate among this population.

House 81 grew from a small program within Quest's adult day training services. Employees gain skills in product creation, assembly, quality control, packaging, and customer service. The work builds independence and creates pathways to competitive employment.

"Eighty-one percent is more than a statistic," John R. Gill, Quest's president and CEO, said. "It represents thousands of people whose talents are too often overlooked."

Scott Schrope, House 81's general manager, said the new name invites people to ask what the number means. "House 81 is more than a workplace," he said. "It's a commitment to reshaping what work and worth look like for people with developmental disabilities."

People can shop the collection at house81goods.com. Sales support the mission of providing employment and dignity to individuals with developmental disabilities.
