Pompano Beach Quadruplex Fire: What We Know So Far

A residential fire at a Pompano Beach quadruplex injured two people and displaced six residents, according to city officials and local news reports. This is what we know so far.

According to the Pompano Beach City media advisory and reports from CBS News Miami, Local 10 and WSVN, 14 adults were inside the building when the fire broke out. Officials said one adult male suffered a laceration after jumping from a window, and another person experienced a seizure. Both were taken to Broward Health North.

Officials said the remaining 12 residents escaped without injury. Two units were deemed uninhabitable, leaving six residents without housing. The American Red Cross was providing temporary temporary housing, according to city officials and news reports.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue said it responded to the residential fire at the quadruplex and extinguished the blaze, according to the city advisory. Officials said the cause remains under investigation.

Dispatch records show prior incidents at this address in the days before the fire, including trauma on May 28 and two medical emergencies on May 21.

No coverage was found for a structure fire at 5140 NW 4th Ave on May 30, 2026, so the available reporting centers on the separate May 12 fire at 345 NW 5th Street. That incident is being investigated by Pompano Beach Fire Investigators, the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Broward Sheriff’s Office, according to reporting cited by city officials.
