Pompano Beach Quadruplex Fire: What We Know So Far
A fire at a Pompano Beach quadruplex left two people hospitalized and six others displaced, and investigators have not yet released a cause, according to reporting from NBC Miami and Tapinto.
Officials and news reports placed the fire near Northwest 5th Street and Northwest 4th Avenue, with the first calls coming in around 3:15 a.m. to 4 a.m. NBC6 reported the fire is under investigation, while Tapinto said fire marshals are working to determine what sparked it.
According to NBC Miami, the fire injured two people and displaced six. Tapinto also reported that two people were hospitalized after the blaze. A city spokesperson confirmed in a news release that six people were displaced from the quadruplex.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue reporting quoted in social and video coverage said at least 14 adults were inside the building’s four units when the fire broke out. That detail suggests a crowded overnight response and a significant rescue effort, though officials have not publicly said whether anyone else was injured.
Emergency crews responded to a structure fire call at the address, and the active investigation indicates fire officials are still collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. No confirmed cause has been released.
Dispatch records show a prior structure fire at this address on May 21, 2026.
What happens next will depend on the fire marshal’s findings and any follow-up from Pompano Beach officials or local hospitals on the condition of the injured residents.
Day.News will continue to update this story as officials release more information.
