Pompano Beach Fire: What We Know So Far

A separate Pompano Beach fire earlier this spring left two people hurt and six residents displaced, and that is the closest confirmed reporting available as officials continue to gather details on the June 4 emergency. According to Local 10, NBC Miami, CBS News Miami and TAPinto Pompano Beach, no reporting has yet matched the June 4 structure fire at 680 NE 41st St #107.

According to a city spokesperson in a news release, six people were displaced in the May 12 fire in the 300 block of Northwest Fifth Street. Officials said 14 adults were inside the building’s four units when that fire broke out, and one adult male suffered a laceration after jumping from a window while another person had a seizure; both were taken to Broward Health North.

The earlier fire was being investigated by Broward Sheriff’s Office, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue investigators and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office, according to the reports. No coverage has been found so far tying that investigation to the June 4 incident at the listed address.

For the June 4 response, dispatch records show multiple prior calls at the same address, including a structure fire on June 3, another call on June 2 and a structure fire on May 28. That history may help investigators and crews track whether the location has had recurring fire activity.

With no confirmed public reporting yet on the June 4 event, the next update is likely to come from fire officials, police or city releases if injuries, damage, or a cause are confirmed. The involvement of BSO, fire rescue investigators and the state fire marshal in the closest related case indicates a formal fire investigation process is underway in the area.
