Pierce County Appoints Libby Catalinich Communications Director

Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier appointed Libby Catalinich as Director of Communications, effective June 3, 2024.

Catalinich, who most recently directed communications for the City of University Place, brings 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing across government and private sectors. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Washington State University.

In her new role, Catalinich oversees media relations, public information, and community engagement for Pierce County. She serves as the official spokesperson for the Executive's Office.

"Libby's communications experience and commitment to public service make her well-suited for this position," Dammeier said.
