Pembroke Pines House Fire: What We Know So Far
A residential fire in Pembroke Pines was quickly brought under control, and officials say no one was hurt, according to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue.
Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue said crews responded to a residential structure fire in the area of SW 2nd Court and 67th Avenue and were able to extinguish it quickly. The fire department said no one was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.
Officials also said the resident is dealing with property damage and loss after the fire. Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue described the homeowner as facing an “unfortunate situation” because of the damage.
The response appears to have been handled by the city’s fire rescue crews, with the original dispatch noting Engine 69 at the scene. The quick extinguishment reported by firefighters suggests the incident was contained before it could spread further, though officials have not yet released a cause.
Dispatch records show this address has had several prior calls in recent days, including an other incident on June 1, a structure fire on May 30 and another structure fire on May 17. Those earlier calls do not appear to be tied to the latest fire, but they show the location has drawn repeated emergency response.
What happens next will depend on whether fire investigators release more information about how the blaze started and the extent of the damage. No arrests or criminal charges have been reported, and officials have not announced a further update timeline.
Day.News will continue to update this story as officials release more information.
