Pembroke Pines House Fire: What We Know So Far
A residential fire in Pembroke Pines was quickly extinguished Tuesday evening, and officials say no one was inside the home and no injuries were reported, according to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue.
According to the department, units responded at about 7:30 p.m. to a home in the area of SW 2nd Court and 67th Avenue and brought the fire under control quickly. Fire officials also said the resident is now dealing with damage and property loss.
Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue said the blaze was contained to a residential structure, but officials have not released a cause, identified a suspect or reported any evacuation orders. No formal investigation update was included in the material available Tuesday night.
The response involved Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue units, and the quick knockdown suggests crews were able to limit the spread before the fire caused more extensive damage.
Dispatch records show this location has seen prior incidents, including a structure fire on May 30 and another on May 17, along with an unrelated call on June 1.
For now, the key unanswered question is what sparked the fire. Officials have not said when additional details may be released, and no investigation timeline has been announced.
Day.News will continue to update this story as officials release more information.
