Holiday resident Dawn Buley received the keys to a new manufactured home this week, marking a significant milestone for Pasco County's Better Future Individual Housing Program. Buley's home was destroyed during the 2024 hurricane season, and she now begins a new chapter in a safer, more secure residence.

This program offers vital assistance to homeowners in Pasco County whose properties sustained damage from Hurricanes Idalia, Helene, or Milton. The county's Office of Disaster Recovery and Resources announced the expansion of the program's eligibility, allowing more residents to access much-needed support.

Pasco County now accepts applications from households with higher income thresholds. The new limits are $96,360 for a one-person household and $137,640 for a four-person household. These figures represent 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI), making the program accessible to a broader range of affected homeowners.
