A house fire in Parkland left a home heavily damaged early Friday, and investigators are still working to determine what sparked the blaze, according to officials and news reports.
According to WSVN and NBC Miami, firefighters were called to the area near Godfrey Road and Wiles Road around 3:30 a.m. The home was reported to be fully engulfed when crews arrived and was later described as heavily damaged or destroyed, with one report saying only ash and charred concrete remained.
No one was home when firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported, according to WSVN and the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Officials also told NBC6 the home may have been under renovation, though that has not been confirmed as the cause.
The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department said crews were still on scene working hotspots after the main fire was knocked down. The Fire Marshal also responded, and the cause remains under investigation, according to WSVN and the fire department.
Dispatch records show prior incidents at this address on June 11, including two other calls and a structure fire.

What happens next will depend on the Fire Marshal’s investigation and any additional updates from the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Officials have not released a cause.
