Orlando Public Library System to Host Media Center Workshops
Orlando residents looking to enhance their digital skills will have new opportunities this spring, as the Orlando Public Library system announced a series of free workshops at its main branch on East Central Boulevard in downtown Orlando. Starting next month, the library will host various sessions focusing on its state-of-the-art media center resources.
The workshops, designed for all skill levels, will cover topics such as video editing software, podcast production, and graphic design tools available for public use. Library Director Sarah Jenkins stated, "Our goal is to empower our community with the skills and access to technology that can help them in their personal and professional lives. The media center is a fantastic resource, and these workshops will help more people utilize it fully."
The first workshop, an introduction to video editing, is scheduled for May 15th at 6:00 PM in the library's second-floor media lab. Subsequent sessions will be announced on the library's official website and bulletin boards. Residents interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance due to limited space. Registration details and a full schedule can be found by visiting the Orlando Public Library at 101 E Central Blvd or by calling their information desk.
