Newsom Says Trump Administration Using DOJ to Investigate Him and Wife
California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday the Trump administration is using the Justice Department to investigate him and his wife.
Newsom made the statement without detailing which investigations he referenced or providing evidence substantiating the claim. A Justice Department spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
The governor's office did not elaborate on the alleged investigations when asked for specifics.
In other news Monday, the U.S. military reported that a B-52 Stratofortress bomber crashed shortly after takeoff in California's Mojave Desert. The military did not immediately release additional details about the incident or the cause of the crash.
Britain announced a sweeping social media ban for teenagers under 16, making it illegal for digital platforms to allow children in that age group to use their services. The government said the restriction aims to protect young people from online harms.
