The Gallery Has Grown
Orlando residents will notice a new addition to the local art scene as "The Gallery Has Grown" officially opened its doors last week at 123 Main Street, in downtown Orlando near the historic Lake Eola Park. This new establishment aims to showcase the work of emerging and established artists from the Central Florida area.
The gallery, which held a soft opening on April 10, 2026, features a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media pieces. Its inaugural exhibition highlights several local talents, including watercolor landscapes by Amelia Rodriguez, a Winter Park native, and abstract metalwork by David Chen, who operates his studio out of the trendy Milk District.
Owner and curator, Sarah Jenkins, expressed her excitement about contributing to Orlando's vibrant cultural landscape. "We wanted to create a welcoming space where the community can connect with art and artists," Jenkins stated during a small gathering last Friday. "Our goal is to foster local talent and provide a platform for their incredible work."
The Gallery Has Grown plans to host monthly rotating exhibitions, artist talks, and workshops. Their next event, a meet-the-artists reception, is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Admission to the gallery is free during regular operating hours, which are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM.
