Plant City Voters Head to Polls for Municipal Runoff

Plant City residents can cast ballots in two City Commissioner races beginning Friday, May 22, with early voting continuing through Saturday, May 23.

Voters will choose between Karen Kerr and Tony Smith for Group 3, and between John Haney and Camryn Henry for Group 4. Election Day is Tuesday, May 26.

Early voting runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at City Hall, 302 W. Reynolds Street. On Election Day, polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the same location. Voters must bring a valid Florida driver's license or other photo identification with a signature. VoteHillsborough.gov lists acceptable IDs.

Mail ballots must arrive at the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can drop ballots at the Secure Ballot Intake Station at City Hall during early voting hours, at a Supervisor of Elections office during open hours, or at the Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center on Memorial Day, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mail ballots cannot be dropped at City Hall on Election Day, though voters can cancel their mail ballot there to vote in person instead.

Turnout updates and unofficial results will post at VoteHillsborough.gov after polls close at 7 p.m. on May 26.
