Montco Realtor and Ex-Tennis Coach Charged with 150 Child Porn Counts

Albert Stroble, a 48-year-old realtor from Lower Providence Township in Montgomery County, was charged Wednesday with 150 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material and one count of criminal use of a communications facility, authorities announced Thursday. Stroble, who operates in the competitive Philadelphia-area real estate market, was released the same day after posting $30,000, or 10% of his $300,000 bail, according to Montgomery County court records. His next court appearance is set for April 28 in Norristown.[1]
The investigation led authorities to Stroble's home, where they uncovered the materials, though specific details on how the probe began remain undisclosed. Stroble's dual career path adds a layer of local notoriety: he served as an assistant tennis coach at Chestnut Hill College, a small private school in Northwest Philadelphia, until the mid-2010s. The college, known for its NCAA Division II athletics in the Philly suburbs, issued a statement acknowledging the charges against its former employee, emphasizing it was aware of the media reports.[1]
Lower Providence Township, a family-oriented community along the Schuylkill River with top-rated schools and proximity to King of Prussia malls, now grapples with the fallout from Stroble's arrest. Realtors in Montco, where median home prices top $500,000, often build trust through community ties, making the allegations particularly jarring. Prosecutors will seek to prove the charges at the preliminary hearing, amid heightened scrutiny on child exploitation cases across Pennsylvania.[1]
