NEW DELHI/MOSCOW — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has publicly urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The statement came during a high-profile meeting between the two leaders.

Modi communicated India's position, stating that the current era is "not an era of war." He emphasized the importance of democracy, diplomacy, and dialogue in resolving international disputes. "We will get an opportunity to discuss how we can move forward on the path of peace," Modi told Putin, according to reports from both Delhi and Moscow.
