Miramar House Fire: What We Know So Far
A Miramar house fire has been reported, and available reporting so far indicates no injuries, according to Miramar Fire’s Public Information Officer and NBC Miami.
Officials have not confirmed that the reported blaze matches the exact address of 6914 SW 38th St, but nearby Miramar fire coverage shows crews were dealing with a residential fire in the city, according to NBC Miami and WSVN.
WSVN reported in a separate Miramar house-fire incident that no one was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported. The station also reported that Florida Power & Light was called to help a displaced family after a Miramar house fire.
The cause of the house fire remains under investigation, according to WSVN. No suspect information has been released.
Emergency response details from the initial dispatch show multiple units were sent, including an engine, rescue, water/brush truck, battalion chief and radio support. That level of response suggests crews treated the call as a significant structure-fire incident, with fire units, command staff and support assets all assigned.
Dispatch records show 246 similar structure-fire incidents in Miramar over the past six months.
What happens next will depend on whether Miramar Fire Rescue releases a formal update on the fire’s origin, damage and any assistance being provided to the occupants. At this stage, the only confirmed takeaway is that investigators are still working to determine what started the blaze.
Day.News will continue to update this story as officials release more information.
