Mets Defeat Nationals 16-7 in 12 Innings

The New York Mets defeated the Washington Nationals 16-7 in 12 innings. Bo Bichette had three hits for the Mets. The Mets scored 10 runs in the 12th inning.

The Mets made roster moves, designating Austin Slater for assignment and recalling Daniel Duarte from Triple-A Syracuse while optioning Joey Gerber. A.J. Minter was moved to the 60-day injured list.

Around the National League East, the Phillies edged the Reds 5-4, and the Marlins shut out the Braves 12-0. Ronald Acuña Jr. was activated from the injured list, and Kyle Farmer was placed on the 10-day injured list for the Braves.
