Meant Health Expands Access to FDA-Approved GLP-1 Medications Through Telehealth

MANASSAS, Va. – Meant Health, a digital health platform, announced Tuesday it has expanded telehealth access to FDA-approved GLP-1 medications. The platform now connects patients with licensed clinicians for evaluation, prescription, and ongoing care coaching related to these treatments.

Clinicians on the Meant Health platform determine patient eligibility for GLP-1 medications. These include drugs such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, and Zepbound®. If a clinician prescribes a medication, the company facilitates the process for patients to obtain it through their insurance or via cash payment options.

The company states it aims to address barriers patients face when seeking treatment for chronic weight management. Meant Health cites limited access to specialized care, high costs, and fragmented care experiences as challenges for patients.

Meant Health focuses on a comprehensive approach to chronic weight management. This approach involves clinician-led evaluation, prescription of appropriate medication, and personalized health coaching. This coaching includes dietary guidance, exercise plans, and behavioral support.

Patients using Meant Health pay a monthly subscription fee. This fee covers clinician consultations, personalized health coaching, and ongoing support. The company’s services are available across 28 states.
