Manatee County Unveils New Online Portal for Permits and Lien Searches, Boosting Efficiency

Manatee County residents and businesses can now submit all permit applications and lien search information requests online. This new digital system aims to streamline processes and improve efficiency for those navigating local government services.

The new online portal allows for the complete submission of permit applications, moving away from previous paper-based or in-person requirements. Additionally, individuals needing lien search information can now submit their requests digitally. A 'LIEN SEARCH USER GUIDE' is available to assist users with the online process.

Alongside the digital transition, new requirements for surveys and site plans for specific construction projects have been in effect since June 1, 2017. Any applications for new construction, lateral additions, or swimming pools must include public and private utility locations on their surveys and site plans. This includes detailing potable water, sewer, and electric lines.

The county implemented this survey requirement to prevent construction on or near existing public utilities and infrastructure. This measure helps protect essential services and ensures the long-term integrity of Manatee County's infrastructure.
