Cape Coral Man Arrested for Back-to-Back Thefts
Cape Coral Police arrested Jeno Nicholas Naples on May 12 and May 13 following two theft incidents at separate stores.
On May 12 at 6:50 p.m., officers responded to Target, 1890 NE Pine Island Road, where Naples entered a fitting room with merchandise, then exited wearing unpurchased clothing and shoes. He walked through self-checkout without paying and left the store with $128.99 in stolen items.
The following evening at 10:58 p.m., officers responded to a theft in progress at RaceTrac, 3010 NE Pine Island Road. Naples took two phone chargers worth $35.12 and left without paying. Surveillance video confirmed the theft. Officers found Naples on the property wearing the clothing stolen from Target the previous day.
During a search, officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on Naples. A records check revealed two active Lee County warrants for failure to appear and violation of pre-trial release conditions related to prior drug charges.
Naples faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and petit theft. Police transported him to Lee County Jail.
