Cape Coral Man Arrested in Armed Domestic Dispute
Cape Coral police arrested Isaias Jamon Garcia, 22, on May 19 after he forced his way into a Southwest Cape Coral residence, threatened an occupant with a firearm, and prevented another from leaving.
Officers responded to the home at 8:13 p.m. following a 911 call reporting a disturbance. When the first officer arrived, Garcia partially opened the door and claimed everything was fine. The officer saw a victim inside signaling for help and moved in. Garcia attempted to shut the door but officers detained him without incident.
During the detention, officers found a 9mm handgun in Garcia's waistband. Investigation revealed Garcia had forced entry after being denied access, causing the door to strike one occupant. He then pointed the firearm at one victim multiple times, shoved another victim who tried to de-escalate, and restricted one victim's ability to leave.
Garcia faces four felony charges: armed burglary, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and false imprisonment. He is held at Lee County Jail.
