Longtime Area Psychologists Announce Retirements
Orange Park is set to bid farewell to two well-known figures in the local mental health community as Dr. Eleanor Vance and Dr. Robert Sterling announce their retirements, effective June 30, 2026. Both psychologists have served the Orange Park area for over three decades, providing counseling and support to countless individuals and families in this Clay County community.
Dr. Vance, whose practice has been located on the main strip of Kingsley Avenue for the past 35 years, is recognized for her work with adolescents and family therapy. Dr. Sterling, operating from his office near the Orange Park Medical Center on Debarry Avenue, a key thoroughfare in the area, specialized in adult cognitive behavioral therapy and stress management. Their departures mark a significant transition for mental health services in the community.
Patients of Dr. Vance and Dr. Sterling have received notices regarding the upcoming retirements and information on transitioning their care. Both doctors have expressed their gratitude to the Orange Park community for their trust and support over the years and look forward to spending more time with their families and pursuing personal interests.
