Local Artist's 'Wolf and Flowers' Exhibit Opens at St. Augustine Art Association
St. Augustine residents are invited to experience a new collection of works by local artist Eleanor Vance, whose exhibit titled 'Wolf and Flowers' opens this Friday, April 17, at the St. Augustine Art Association. The exhibition will be on display at the association's gallery, located at 22 Marine Street in the heart of historic downtown, through May 10.
Vance, a longtime resident of the historic Lincolnville neighborhood, is known for her vibrant use of color and her unique blend of natural themes with symbolic imagery. 'Wolf and Flowers' features a series of oil paintings and mixed-media pieces that explore the juxtaposition of strength and fragility, often depicting powerful animal figures alongside delicate floral arrangements.
The St. Augustine Art Association will host an opening reception for the public this Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and Ms. Vance will be present to discuss her work. Admission to the gallery and the opening reception is free. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, residents can contact the St. Augustine Art Association directly.
