Local Artist Jim Draper's 'St. Johns Cypress' Exhibit Opens Downtown

Tallahassee residents can now experience the latest work from acclaimed local artist Jim Draper, whose new exhibit, "St. Johns Cypress," opened yesterday, April 7, at the LeMoyne Arts gallery in historic downtown Tallahassee, located at 125 N. Gadsden Street. The collection features Draper's distinctive interpretations of the St. Johns River landscape, focusing on the iconic cypress trees that define the region.

Draper, a long-time fixture in the Tallahassee art scene, is known for his evocative and often large-scale paintings that capture the essence of Florida's natural environment. His work frequently explores the intricate relationship between nature and human experience, making his pieces resonate deeply with those familiar with the state's unique ecosystems.

The "St. Johns Cypress" exhibit is open to the public during LeMoyne Arts' regular operating hours: Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The gallery encourages community members to visit and immerse themselves in Draper's latest artistic endeavor, which promises to be a significant cultural highlight for downtown Tallahassee this spring, amid the seasonal blooms of nearby Cascades Park.
