Lakers Reportedly Considering Trading Dalton Knecht After Rookie Season
The Los Angeles Lakers, heading into the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, are reportedly evaluating options for Dalton Knecht. The team will likely explore trading the former first-round pick in the offseason.
Knecht is under contract for $4.2 million next season and has a team option for the 2027-28 campaign. Despite flashes of potential, including a 17-point fourth quarter in one regular season game, Knecht has had difficulty securing consistent playing time. Lakers Head Coach JJ Redick previously noted Knecht may have been overexerted during offseason workouts.
Jovan Buha reported the Lakers will test the trade market for Knecht during the offseason.
