Knicks Release Injury Report Ahead of Game 6 Against Hawks
The Knicks released an updated injury report for Thursday's Game 6 against the Hawks. Josh Hart is listed as questionable with a lower back contusion. Hart played 30 minutes in Game 5, scoring nine points on 3-of-8 shooting, with five rebounds and four assists. He averages 9.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game for the series.
Ahead of the regular season finale against the Hornets, the Knicks opted to rest several starters after securing the No. 3 seed. Jalen Brunson (right ankle management), Josh Hart (right ankle management), and OG Anunoby (left ankle sprain) were all listed as out. Tyler Kolek (right oblique strain) and Mitchell Robinson (left ankle) also remained sidelined. Miles McBride, who missed the previous game, was cleared to play in the finale.
Earlier in the season, various players managed injuries. Miles McBride (pelvic/core muscle) and Mitchell Robinson (left ankle) sat out against the Raptors for injury management after playing 19 minutes each in a win over the Celtics. McBride contributed four points, two assists, and one rebound. Robinson recorded seven points, seven rebounds, three steals, and one block.
Karl-Anthony Towns experienced a right elbow impingement and later a Grade 2 quad strain, which he played through. Jalen Brunson dealt with right ankle soreness and neck soreness throughout the season. OG Anunoby managed a left ankle sprain, right toe soreness, a toenail avulsion, and a knee contusion. Mitchell Robinson managed a left ankle and a back injury. Landry Shamet sustained right knee soreness and a shoulder injury. Miles McBride also contended with a left ankle injury and core muscle surgery. Josh Hart previously had right ankle soreness and a rectus abdominis strain.
