Knicks guard Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 38 points, contributing 12 points in the first quarter. Forward Julius Randle added 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Knicks. Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed 11 rebounds.
For the 76ers, guard Tyrese Maxey recorded 29 points, and center Joel Embiid scored 20 points along with 10 rebounds. Forward Tobias Harris finished with 17 points.
The Knicks will now face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers series in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. New York has advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
