Lake Mary residents are advised to exercise caution on West Lake Mary Boulevard near the entrance to the Lake Mary Centre this week, following a minor traffic incident yesterday afternoon. While details are still emerging, a vehicle reportedly collided with a decorative lamppost at approximately 3:45 PM, causing minor damage to the lamppost and traffic disruption for a short period.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. No serious injuries were reported, though the involved vehicle sustained some front-end damage. Lake Mary Police Department officers were on site to manage traffic flow and investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The area was cleared within an hour, and normal traffic patterns resumed.

City officials have not yet released an estimate for the repair of the lamppost, which is a familiar landmark for those entering the Lake Mary Centre, the city's main shopping destination. Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and adhere to all traffic laws, especially in busy commercial areas like West Lake Mary Boulevard, home to many local businesses in Seminole County.
