Jason Benetti Named Lead Play-by-Play Announcer for NBC's 'Sunday Night Baseball'

Jason Benetti has been named the lead play-by-play voice for NBC's 'Sunday Night Baseball,' marking the network's return to national MLB coverage after 26 years. Benetti, a Syracuse University alumnus, previously spent 11 years at ESPN and approximately four years at Fox, announcing various sports. He also held positions as the lead TV voice for the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox. Prior to his role with NBC, Benetti received early career guidance from Bob Costas, who alerted him to a writing opportunity. Costas hosted NBC’s new pregame show before a Diamondbacks-Dodgers game last month and introduced Benetti as part of the broadcast.
