Simultaneously, the new head of Iran's top security organization issued a warning regarding support for new U.S. economic sanctions. He stated Sunday that Iran would consider any nation's support for these measures against the Islamic Republic as an "act of war."

President Ebrahim Raisi described the memorandum as a practical step for de-escalation. His remarks indicated a strategic preference for diplomatic engagement through this specific agreement.

Ali Shamkhani, who recently assumed leadership of the Supreme National Security Council, conveyed the warning to international actors. His statement outlined Iran's position on economic sanctions imposed by the United States, defining support for such actions as a direct challenge.
