Howey-in-the-Hills Council Reviews Venezia Commercial Project on Venezia Boulevard

The Howey-in-the-Hills Town Council held a public hearing today, September 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., to consider a new commercial development. The hearing focused on a Preliminary and Final Site Plan approval application for a project known as Venezia Commercial.

Residents had the opportunity to voice opinions and concerns regarding the proposed development. The project, if approved, will bring commercial activity to approximately 5.13 acres located east of Venezia Boulevard and south of S. Palm Avenue (SR 19).

Sherry Wooten of Interplan LLC submitted the application on behalf of Venezia Partners LLC. The property in question is identified by Lake County Tax Parcel number 35-20-25-0200-0JJ-00000. The Town Council convened at Town Hall, located at 101 North Palm Avenue, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida 34737, to hear public comments and deliberate on the proposal.

The public hearing served as the official forum for community input on the commercial development. The Town Clerk's Office made copies of the application and related public records available for inspection during normal business hours prior to the meeting.
