Homestead Residents Get Easy Access to DMV Services with Monthly TConnect Mobile Unit

Homestead residents gain easy access to DMV services with TConnect mobile unit

Homestead residents now have convenient, in-person access to various Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) services without leaving the city. The City of Homestead partnered with the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector's Office to bring the TConnect Mobile DMV Services directly to the community.

This mobile unit offers many of the same services available at a traditional DMV office. It visits Homestead on the third Friday of every month, making it easier for residents to complete essential driver's license, identification, and vehicle registration transactions.

The TConnect mobile unit operates at the Dickinson Community Center, located at 1601 N. Krome Avenue, Homestead, FL 33030. Operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The next visit will be this coming Friday, September 18, 2026.

Services available include driver's license renewals, original Florida identification cards, driver's license replacements, ID card renewals and replacements, driver's license reinstatements, organ donor registration, driver's license restriction updates, handicap parking permit applications and renewals, and vehicle registration renewals. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are not required.

The TConnect unit does not offer written examinations, driving skills tests, or CDL testing. Residents should visit the Miami-Dade Tax Collector's website to confirm required documentation for specific services, such as new or replacement driver's licenses, state IDs, name or address changes, or registration renewals and title transfers. Being prepared with the correct documents helps ensure a smooth visit.
