Hollywood Beach Condo Fire: What We Know So Far
A structure fire was reported Tuesday evening at a condo building at 3505 S. Ocean Dr. in Hollywood, and this is what we know so far.
No additional official details were available in the dispatch data reviewed, and no injuries, cause or evacuation information had been confirmed by news reports at the time of publication.
Emergency crews were sent to the scene after the fire call came in around 8:25 p.m. The size of the response was not listed in the dispatch record, but a structure-fire dispatch typically indicates firefighters were asked to assess the building, contain the blaze and check for occupants or extension to nearby units.
Dispatch records show this is not the first fire response at the same address. The building also had structure-fire incidents on May 18 and twice on May 11, suggesting repeated fire-related calls at the property in recent days.
At this stage, officials had not released an estimate of damage or said whether investigators were looking into the cause. Additional updates would typically follow once fire crews clear the scene and the department completes an initial assessment.
Day.News will continue to update this story as officials release more information.
