According to WSVN, Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue said the fire broke out inside a five-story condominium at 601 Three Islands Blvd. just after 7 p.m. Smoke was seen on the third floor and in the hallway, officials said.
Officials also said the condo unit where the fire started had no occupants at the time, and no injuries were reported in the blaze, according to WSVN.
The cause has not been determined, and officials said there was no word yet on what sparked the fire, according to WSVN.
The two-alarm designation indicates a significant fire response, typically meaning additional crews and resources were called to the scene to help contain the incident and protect nearby units. Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue handled the response, according to WSVN.
Dispatch records show prior incidents at this address, including a fall injury on May 18 and two structure fires on May 15.
