SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The expiration of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians in the United States now poses a deportation risk for an estimated 350,000 individuals, a development with local implications in Springfield, Ohio.

The Supreme Court affirmed the end of TPS for Haitians and Syrians in June. The Trump administration subsequently allowed the protected status for Haitians to expire last month.
